The SD6 and SD6+ 6kW small wind turbine is our most popular model. It has been the best-selling small wind turbine in the UK and is regarded as the turbine of choice world-wide for over 25 years.
The unique over-speed protection system, the delta rotor, ensures continuous energy generation during extreme winds. This provides excellent value to users of this durable and reliant small wind turbine. As wind speeds increase, the SD6 will maintain output and performance. When compared to alternative wind turbines, which need to brake themselves in strong wind conditions, the SD6 is the small wind turbine of choice. Continuous energy output and performance delivered.

The SD6+ turbine follows the SD6 power curve up to a point, then exponentially increases in high wind speeds. This is due to additional copper winding included in the generator. The design of the SD6+ is otherwise the same as the SD6 wind turbine.
These power curve values are representative of the wind power output produced using an SD6+ turbine with a specific inverter set up. Actual output is dependent on several factors including turbine siting and inverter type and setup.
